Virtually There
Technology really is marvellous. For those of you who are not aware, Google has created a free-ware program that allows you to visit our ´desired´ property on Isla de Ometepe without ever needing to leave the comfort of your chair.
For those of you who already have access to the program, please enter the following co-ordinates;
Latitude: 11°28'57.43"N
Longitude: 85°31'14.57"W
i.e. In the search box, please enter the following information: 11°28'57.43"N, 85°31'14.57"W
For those of you who do not yet have the program, please visit the following URL in order to download it free. http://earth.google.com/ After the program is installed and started, simply enter the co-ordinates above to commence the search. While the information is not real time (in fact, it is a couple of years old), it still provides the best means of visiting the land falling short of actually being there!
