Support

Many of our investors will have been present at the recent Annual Shareholders Meeting held on the 11th of May in the Netherlands where a detailed overview was given of the past year. Tough questions were asked regarding the objectives that were not met but it was also recognized that the achievements over the past year have been substantial. Significantly, the shareholders have agreed to further support the project financially in order to realize the extra lodges and cabaƱas needed to make the business profitable.

Virtually all construction activities have been on hold recently pending the outcome of the Shareholders meeting but certain necessary tasks have been undertaken including the continued development of the gardens surrounding the main lodge and cabins as well as maintenance in light of the coming rainy season.

We had our first significant rain storm yesterday which was an impressive event with accompanying thunder and lightning. We have identified the inevitable leaks to the various thatch roofs and will be working to patch those in the coming weeks. It appears thusfar that only the main-lodge and the first lodge have suffered which corresponds to the fact that these two roofs are most exposed to the high dry-season winds.

Our occupation levels have dropped over the past weeks which does coincide with the seasonal trend and we hope to see occupation rise again as we move into June. We will have to extend our efforts to attract the backpacker market which has been slow to get started but represents an important source of income at this stage of the business's development.
