Sleeping On Top

Finally we have reached the stage where our first cabin is ready to be furnished and this week will see us testing its functioning by first spending a couple of nights there ourselves before accepting our first guests by this weekend. With the thatching on the main-lodge now almost one third complete it means we can begin putting the kitchen in use to allow us to serve private meals to our guests on their private porch. This will be part of the exclusive service we intend to offer which will make for an unforgettable experience.

On the marketing front it means there will soon be promotional material available allowing us to begin actively selling ourselves first through selected alliances within Nicaragua and also on selected travel sites. The website will be updated with various adjustments and adittions during this week as well. In relation to this, some questions have been raised concerning the validity of our claim to still being an ´eco´ lodge now that significant amounts of cement and metal have been used during construction. A document has been prepared outlining the main arguments for why we do still consider ourselves to be ecologically responsible and I intend to post this document as a blog in later this week.
