Natural Feeling

In the coming weeks we will be posting more fotos of the different finishings on the first luxury lodge. A lot of thought has gone into the details and we are excited to see the first finished lodge as soon as possible. We have chosen for a very earthy and natural feeling which will compliment our surrounding environment. Still, untill the paint goes on and the cane goes up you are never really sure how it will look.

In particular, the cane (called caña castillo) is proving to be a really beautifull material to work with. We still have a large quantity in stock and so will be working with this material extensively.

Another building material that has become a firm favourite is eucalyptus wood and today we received another 40 odd trees. After treatment there are few woods that look more impressive.

In the next picture you can see the now completed potable water tank with the finished ferro-cement dome. This will be hidden from view but is off course a crucual element in the project. In about two weeks we start to slowly fill it by about 1ocm a day untill full.

Finally, I realize I have as yet failed to include a picture of our Italian volunteer Kiarra who has been working with Anielka in maintaining the nursery, propogating ornamentals and developing the gardens.
