1st Totoco Staff Party

This weekend we are holding the first Totoco Staff Party at the Ojo de Agua natural spring in el Kino. A few weeks ago we challenged the team to complete the construction of the road up to the plant nursery by the end of this week. This will allow for easy delivery of the +/-1000 plants and trees that will arrive over the coming weeks. Each worker can bring one guest and we will be be preparing a barbecue at the spring.

Furthermore, serious work has been done protecting the property against the harsh effects of soil erosion during the rainy season which is slowly strating on the island. Using a simple A-frame & weight we layed out many hundreds of meters of stone barriers along various contours across the property as well as laying retention walls inside the major dry stream beds on the property.

This coming week will see the return of Roslyn, whose presence has been missed by the team here. Also, with the completion of the road, this week will see a commencement of work on the storage shed and also the workshop which are both important bases from which other construction can be started.
