Weekly Update: 18th June 2007

With the completion of the road into the property we are now able to seriously commence the construction phase of buildings in the lower half of the property. The cement in the final ramp that leads into the property still needs about 7 days to set and harden properly before any heavy vehicles with materials can pass over it. However, it is possible to begin preparing the foundations for the storage facility, 2 dormitories and the 2 private houses for management. In light of this we have contracted a second builder who starts work on the storage facility this week and plan to have a third builder joining the team within another 3 weeks.

While construction on the lower half of the property starts in earnest, another team of workers is continuing work on the road to ensure access to the top half of the property as soon as possible. Upon completing the design for this final section of road it is management's intention to employ heavy machinery in order to speed-up construction of this final section of road.

With the detailed design of the lower section of the property virtually completed, efforts are underway to finalize the entire entrance area to the property. This includes all plantings, paths, tubing, roads and any specific features in the area around the entrance gate, plant nursery, storage facility, workshop and the initial drive-way with its accompanying round-about. Helping the project for the past two weeks has been Amely Jurgenliemk from Canada who volunteered time out of her vacation and has been an excellent addition to the team. We hope to see her return in the future to witness the fruition of her efforts. Thx Amely!
