New Season, New Challenges
Much discussion has taken place here to find the best way to respond to the need for improved performance within the realities of a market we are still getting to know. May (33% occupancy thus far) has proven to be almost as slow as April (23%) and we are looking to see what can be done to increase occupancy rates while re-examining our various cost areas. We are in communication with the supervisory board in order to take advantage of their experience and hope to inform you of a list of actions by next week.

Final design decisions are being made with regards to the pool, a crucial element that will add a whole new dimension to the TOTOCO experience. Construction on the rain-water capture tank (a pre-requisite) will begin later this week.
Down at the TOTOCO farm we are rejoicing in the arrival of the rainy season which has transformed the property into a lush and fertile paradise again after 6 months of unrelenting sun and heat. The installation of the irrigation system has been a success and will save much time and water. We are already supplying the TOTOCO restaurant with cucumbers, radishes, and various salad greens and are expanding to peppers and courgettes.
Patricia has been reconnecting with everybody in the community this past week and is looking forward to expanding her programs and projects. For the latest updates, visit www.totocodc.blogspot.com
