Focus on marketing




It is a beautifull time of year on Ometepe and every day that we have lodges empty means someone is missing the opportunity to experience this unique island. We have been involved with different marketing activities over the past 2 weeks;

Jonathan has increased our budget with google adwords as well as adjusting keyword settings there and on our own website. We have also agreed on a new discount pricing strategy for the low-season that will make us more competitive within the local market.

This past weekend we participated in the first International Tourism fair in Managua where so-called 'wholesalers' from north and central america met with ourselves and other Nicaraguan hotels and operators. Furthermore, we have printed the first 1000 copies of our brochure which we used at the fair and will be distributing nationwide over the coming weeks and months.

On the swimming pool front the rainwater tank has been completed and excavation on the pool has commenced. We hope to start tying the metal skeleton by the end of this week. The final pictures gives a glimpse of the view from the pool which will have an 'infinity' rim.
